Yebo Gogo blog comments on report that Ugandan strongman Yoweri Museveni wants to re-invade the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rwandan newspaper The New Times claims that the Ugandan leader met with a high ranking American official seeking US backing for the invasion. Museveni's press secretary insisted that he was merely 'lobbying' the US as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. Today is the 30th anniversary of the Soweto massacre. In 1976, the racist apartheid government imposed Afrikaans as the sole language of education. US National Public Radio ran an excellent radio documentary on the anniversary.
